The Man, Mandate, and Ministry

 

Dr. Terence Z. McCrimmon, a native of Cameron, North Carolina, is a pastor, revivalist, workshop facilitator, and professor. He has served in pastoral ministry for the past 25 years with his current pastorate being the Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in Raeford, NC. His previous pastorates are the Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church and Mingo Hill Free Will Baptist Church.

 

A lifelong proponent of education, McCrimmon has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Trinity Bible College, a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of the Cumberlands, a Master of Arts in Theological Studies and a Master of Religious Education from Liberty University School of Divinity, a Master of Education in Educational Administration from the University of Sioux Falls, and a Doctor of Education from Gardner-Webb University. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at Erskine Theological Seminary.

 

Recognizing those who have impacted his Christian Walk, McCrimmon ascribes his spiritual formation and ministry development to his childhood pastor, the late Pastor E. M. Evans, founder of St. John Church, his beloved grandmother, the late Reverend Virginia L. Chalmers, and his spiritual father, Bishop. John E. Guns, pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida.

 

Currently, McCrimmon is the First Vice President of the Union of Union Missionary Baptist Association (UMBA) and a member of the Ministerial and Ordination Council. He has also served in various leadership roles within UMBA to include immediate former Moderator, Second Vice Moderator, and instructor for General Baptist State Convention Congress of Christian Education.

 

Serving as a bi-vocational pastor, McCrimmon has been employed by Fayetteville State University since 2006. His teaching experience in higher education includes Fayetteville State University, Carolina College of Biblical Studies, Apex School of Theology, and North Carolina Theological Seminary. He is a member of the Hoke County Civic League, Fayetteville Cumberland County Ministerial Council, Kingdom Fellowship International, and a volunteer with the United Way of Cumberland County. McCrimmon also is a board member of the Affordable Housing for the Carolinas and the One Accord Bible Institute.

 

McCrimmon has been blessed to travel across the country, preaching the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. He is passionate about serving and loving God and God’s people.
