New Members Ministry

New Members Orientation - The New Members Orientation assists the pastor in encouraging the full participation and growth of new members into our church body.  It provides a general overview of the various ministries and services available to them as members.  New members join Mt. Pisgah at different levels of Christian experience.  Some come as new converts while many come on Christian experience, already having knowledge of salvation and faith in Jesus Christ.  The class is designed to assist new members in expanding their knowledge of the Christian faith in carrying out Christ’s mission for His church as they acclimate to a new church culture and environment. Additionally, they learn about the Baptist Denomination, as well as learning about the rich history of the church.   In the class, each member is assigned a Deacon as part of his or her members care provision.  The Deacons, Christian Education Director, and the Church Clerk work cooperatively in the ministry.
