Mount Pisgah has several opportunities for members and community partners to help carry the vision and fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. Below are various opportunities where individuals can serve.
Health and Wellness Ministry - promotes good health by providing information and education on good nutrition, proper exercise, rest, and health related activities. The vision of the ministry is to see the church evolve into a Faith Community that embraces the fact that Wellness, encompasses three distinct aspects of our health that work together, inseparable from each other. Those components are Spiritual Health, Physical Health, and Mental Health, the whole wellness of our members. Persons serving in this ministry include members in the medical field, mental health, physical education, as well as members who have interest in the ministry because of personal health issues, being caretakers, or those who simply want to live a healthier lifestyle.

Hospitality Ministry - serves as host to visitors by extending genuine expressions of God’s love. Greeters ensure that every visitor receives a welcome package and a card to fill out and leave with the church. This card allows the Pastor, through a personal letter, to extend further greetings and appreciation for worshipping with us. Much like the ushers, these warm-hearted persons help set the tone in preparation for worship.
Laymen League Ministry - exists to encourage men and boys of the church to participate in the total life of the church, inspire good church attendance, teach and practice the stewardship of giving, and to encourage an interest in evangelism. It further promotes church leadership development. The Laymen League works in association with the General Baptist State Convention and the Union Baptist Association.
Marriage Ministry - provides meaningful fellowship, training, and support to the couples and families of the church and the community. This ministry focuses on biblical principles, relating to the roles of Christian husbands, wives, and families. The ministry also allows the couples to fellowship together at church and away from church, as well, such as attending special events, outings, and even retreats designed for married couples. Since its inception, the Ministry is usually led by a couple with input from the other couples within the ministry.
Shepherd's Care Ministry - is to lend support, encouragement, and expressions of appreciation for the Pastor as he carries out the vision of the church as given to him by God. As the pastor carries out the various and often heavy duties of pastoring, the Shepherd’s Care Ministry seeks to ease his load and concerns by being that arm of spiritual, emotional, and sometimes financial support when needed. Their duties may range from seeing to the comforts of his office to being called upon to assist as needed. Members of this ministry genuinely feel called to serve the pastor as a Ministry of Helps as he fulfills his calling and duties as pastor.
Transportation Ministry - is to provide transportation for members who have no means of transportation but have a desire to attend church services. The Trustee and Deacon Ministries work collaboratively in providing this year. Members must call the service the day prior to desired transportation pickup.
Ushers Ministry - play a vital part in the overall ministry of the church. Ushers represent the church in a very visible way. As doorkeepers, they help set the tone in preparation for the worship service. They greet persons who enter the church in a friendly, helpful, and warm manner. They lead worshippers to their seats, serve the needs of the membership, help keep order, and assist the officers in receiving the offering. Ushers must be dependable, prompt, and ready to serve in this essential role of the church.
Women's Ministry - is designed to serve ladies of all ages through a variety of activities throughout the year which are designed to enrich individual spiritual growth and enhance the "bond of sisterhood.” The ministry is to provide in-reach to women through spiritual mentoring, nurturing, and sisterly support. This ministry works in collaboration with sponsoring Annual Women’s Day at Mount Pisgah or other Women related activities.
